DMACC Network User Name & Password

User Name:

  • The default username is usually your first initial, middle initial, and last name.
  • In case of duplicate usernames, a number is added after the last name (e.g., efhutton23).
  • If you have any issues with your username, please call Tech Support at 515-965-7300. Visit Tech Support Hours for current availability.

Password:

  • Your default password will be sent via email shortly after your acceptance to DMACC.
  • If you do not receive this information, you can call Tech Support 515-965-7300 for assistance. Visit the Tech Support Hours.
  • When creating your own password, ensure it is at least 16 characters long with one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, two numbers, and one special character.

Access DMACC’s Network

From any campus or success center:

You can log into a public computer at any DMACC location, including computer labs, libraries, or academic achievement centers (AAC).

  1. Check to see if you need to sign in to AAC or with a librarian to use public computers.
  2. If the computer is asleep, press the space bar to wake it up and reach the login screen.
  3. Enter your DMACC username and password, then press Enter.

Important: Always log out after finishing your session, especially when using shared or public computers.

Technology Policies and Procedures

DMACC network users are expected to follow all IT policies and procedures:

  • Protect the confidentiality of your DMACC network password by not sharing or posting it. If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact Tech Support.
  • Student DMACC accounts remain active for up to one year after the last semester attended. Faculty/staff retention policies may vary.

DMACC Email

Your Email Address: Your DMACC email is your username followed by @dmacc.edu (e.g., efhutton23@dmacc.edu).

Access Your Email:

  • On Campus: Open Outlook from the desktop icon. Pin it to the taskbar for quick access.
  • Off Campus: Use Outlook.com or log in through myDMACC.
  • Smartphone: Download the Microsoft Outlook app from your app store. Visit the Microsoft Outlook Mobile Download Page.

Phishing Protection: Use the phishing report button in the email menu or ribbon to report suspicious messages.
