If you're a current credit student or employee at DMACC, you can obtain Microsoft Office for free. This includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Teams. Their subscription will be active for one year from the last class they've taken.
Note: On Apple devices, Microsoft Access will not be included, due to incompatibilities.
This subscription will last while you are an active credit student or employee at DMACC and will expire a minimum of 270 days after you finish taking classes, or on your last day if you're an employee.
How to install office
Step1.
Sign into myDMACC with your network email and password.
Open the Side Menu button on the upper left side of the page.
Click on "Office 365".
Step 2.
Once you have clicked on office 365, you will see an "expand navigation" button on the upper left hand side. Select the expand navigation button.
Then select the "Apps and more" button .
And then click on "More Apps".
On the upper right hand side of the Office 365 portal, click Install Apps, and then Microsoft 365 Apps.
Step 3.
Click "Install office" again on the following page as shown below:
Step 4.
Click "Downloads" to download the installer to your Downloads folder to locate it with ease. The name of the file will be "Officesetup". Or, If you have downloaded this before it will have a number surrounded by parenthesis to indicate you have downloaded this before. ex: Officesetup (1).
Once the installer has finished downloading, run the installer from your downloads folder by double clicking "Officesetup". The install can take up to 15 minutes to complete.

Installation may take 10+ minutes. Once it finishes, you'll be asked to sign in when you first open one of the Office programs. Use your normal DMACC username and password, like you would use for myDMACC or a campus computer.
