These instructions assume that DMACC Systems Integration has installed the application to your computer or the lab that you are working in.
The first time you open IntelliJ IDEA you will need to first accept the User Agreement and choose whether or not you wish to share Anonymous Statistics with JetBrains.
When that is complete you will be greeted with the Welcome screen
From here one of the following actions will trigger the License Activation Screen:
- Wait for 15 seconds at this screen
- Select any of the options: New Project, Open, or Clone Repository
- Click the gear in the lower left corner and select Manage Licenses
If DMACC Systems Integration has done the installation then the License Server address will be pre-populated, similar to the screenshot below.
NOTE: The license server address in the screenshot below is not correct, the correct license server address ends with jetbrains.com
On the license activation page click the large blue Activate button to start the activation process.
If you have not already logged into another DMACC site, the familiar multi-factor authentication screen will open in a web browser. Once your DMACC credentials have been authenticated you will see that your authorization was successful.
After your license has been activated you will see a screen like below, you can safely ignore the "Authorization required" message if it is still displayed.
