How do I clear my browser cache?

Note: The following instructions are based on the latest version of each respective web browser. If your web browser looks different in appearance, you may need to update it.

Browser cache issues occur with some browsers on DMACC sites. You can attempt the below instructions to clear out your browser cache in Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. Upon clearing the browser cache, you must close the browser completely then re-open it.

Google Chrome

In Google Chrome's address bar, enter chrome://settings

 

In the Settings menu, scroll down until you see the Privacy and Security menu. Under the Privacy and Security menu, select Clear browsing data.

In the Clear Browsing Data window, in the Basic tab, ensure that the Cookies and Other Site Data and Cached Images and Files are checked and the time range is set to All Time.

Click Clear data

 



Safari

While Safari is the selected window, click Safari at the top-left of the screen. This will expand a drop down menu. Click Preferences.

In the Preferences menu, click on the Privacy tab.

In the Privacy menu, click on Manage Website Data, or Remove Website Data. Depending on your Safari and MacOS version, this button may be one or the other.

Click Remove All

 



Firefox

 

In Firefox's address bar, enter about:preferences

In the Settings menu, select the Privacy & Security tab.

In the Privacy & Security menu, scroll down until you see the History menu, select the link that says Clear History...

In the Clear All History window, ensure that Cookies, Cache, Active Logins, Site Preferences, and Offline Website Data are checked and that the time range is set to Everything.

Click Clear Now

 




Microsoft Edge

In Edge's address bar, enter edge://settings

 

In the Settings menu on the left side of the page, select Privacy and services

In the Privacy and services menu, scroll down until you see the Clear browsing data menu. Select the Choose what to clear button

In the Clear browsing data window, ensure that Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files are checked and that the time range is set to All time.
