Health insurance is required for all international students who come on an F-1 visa to study at DMACC. It is mandatory that students purchase DMACC provided insurance. Dental Hygiene students on the Ankeny Campus provide the following preventive dental services for DMACC students, faculty, staff and the community at a reduced fee:
- Cleaning of teeth
- Home care instruction
- Sealants
- Polishing fillings
- Fluoride treatment
- X-rays
- Study models
- Nutritional counseling
- Blood pressure
- Oral cancer screenings
